This is my biggest passion! Every sound bath I give is different, but they all begin and end with Crystal Singing bowls for chakra balancing. Instruments I use based on intuition: Gong, Rav Drum, Handpan, Shamanic Flutes, Shamanic drum, chimes, Himalayan bowls, rattles, ocean drum, rain stick, sometimes a guest artist on guitar and healing vocals. I cast reiki over my instruments before every sound bath, in order to cast it over the room while I play. I sometimes bring in my partner to perform more personalized reiki during the sound bath, so this is an option. Every sound session is approximately 60 minutes, and I like to introduce some healing work beforehand that people can use as a resource as home (chi gong, breathwork, or movement depending on what feels right that day).
22 minutes leading the transformative Ra Ma Da Sa mantra during which people have the option of receiving himalayan bowl healing on the body, followed by a short sound session (30 minutes), and time at the end for people to talk about whatever they need to feel heard.
Kundalini yoga is an intensely spiritual yoga practice that combines breath, movement, sound, and meditation. A typical kundalini class contains 30-45 minutes of movement and breath (kriya), followed by savasana and sound, and then a 20-30 minutes kundalini meditation. These are unique meditations that may involve breath, mantra, mudra, and movement in order to achieve a particular goal (IE releasing anger, opening the chakras, finding self authority, connecting to the divine, as a few examples). This yoga brings about intense energetic experiences, especially in group energy.
In these, I teach methods for nervous system regulation that I have personally found to be helpful. This includes self-havening, box breathing, alternate nostril breathing, mantra, healing touch, self-massage, and chi gong. This workshop is still evolving and I believe will constantly grow, as I discover new modalities to help ourselves.
For me, this type of immersion pulled me out of severe disability by reducing chronic fatigue, relaxing the central nervous system, reducing chronic pain, helping to retrain the limbic system in processing trauma, bringing in a deeper connection with Spirit, and reversing allergic reactions that were occurring due to
mast cell activation. Comments I’ve received from people who have experienced this immersion: “For the first time, I feel like I can heal.” “I’m out of fight or flight for the first time since my near-death experience a year ago!” “I’m processing my divorce without a lot of angst.” “My tinnitus is improving and my energy levels are up!” This program is 90 minutes per night or targeted healing. I use a variety of shamanic sound techniques, ho'oponopono, and reiki to bring about major changes in participants. These are smaller
groups, which allows me to bring in individual healing work for each participant with the Ho’oponopono playing in the background after bringing participants into a trance using chakra balancing crystal singing bowls. It is targeted towards people experiencing trauma and/or autoimmune symptoms and is meant to empower participants to take control of their healing. Every day, I teach a new tool to bring about health at home (detox, breathwork, humming, movement, etc).
I’m in the process of developing workshops that use sound to create a trance state from which we can tap into our creativity or healing abilities.
Sound heals us physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Most people familiar with sound healing
hear it advertised as a chakra balancing treatment. It does balance the chakras, but did you
know that sound also:
● Uses vibration to move lymphatic fluid through the body, helping with detoxification.
● Massages muscle, fascia, organs, and even bones, soothing the whole body.
● Builds new limbic pathways in the brain, helping recovery from trauma and chronic pain.
● Places the brain in a theta state, allowing space for healing, relaxation, and new ideas.
● Breaks addiction loops and trauma loops in the brain.
● Vibrates the vagus nerve, calming the central nervous system.
● Stimulates and entrains the brain, helping the brain to heal.
Sound and vibrational therapy essentially remove the brain from the equation, allowing the body space to heal itself.
That’s a long list of benefits, but there’s one that deserves to be highlighted. Sound can calm
the central nervous system! This is important, because a dysregulated central nervous system
contributes to pain and muscle tension, allergies, immune system dysfunction, insomnia,
fatigue, autonomic issues, sensory sensitivity, depression, anxiety, trauma responses, and
addictive cycles. When we calm the central nervous system, miracles can happen. You won’t
know where you’ll see improvement until you try it!
You will experience a meditative treatment that leaves you feeling deeply relaxed. All that is
asked of you is that you close your eyes and breathe, and that you hydrate post-treatment. You
may be advised to walk a bit before driving, if you seem too relaxed to drive safely. During your
treatment, your brain may slip into a dream state (theta) or a deeper delta state. When this
happens, it is possible to experience strong dream-like memories or to feel like you completely
blacked out a space of time. Over the days following a sound treatment, you may notice
improvement in symptoms or pain levels. You may notice a longer attention span and a more
centered emotional state. On occasion, you may find yourself feeling emotionally raw; great
news! Your brain is busy building new pathways to process trauma and releasing previously
buried emotion.
